Next month (September 13-14), Orlando will play host for the 68th annual NAEC Convention. The NAEC convention is the tradeshow for North American companies servicing the elevator industry. It is a place to see new technology, attend educational seminars and catch up with old friends.
Elevator contractors and consultants will be able to see new technology like KEB’s CANOpen Lift Drives. Additionally, we’ll have our full product line on display from IEEE 519 Harmonic Filters, to Regen units, to Elevator Drives.
Additionally, NAEC hosts educational seminars throughout the show. Our own Tony Heiser will be giving an educational presentation on Thursday, September 14 @ 1:00PM, titled, “Elevator Drives – Topology, Control & Troubleshooting“.
Here is a brief synopsis of the session from the NAEC convention brochure:
This session will provide attendees an overview of AC drive power
electronics topology including input, intermediate and output
stages and tests for troubleshooting hardware failure and an overview
on the design of AC motors and operation, including the
similarities between and difference between induction and permanent
magnet motors. The presenter will review the speed control
models utilizing proportional and integral gains with practical
examples of each term’s effect and the role of feed forward control.
Make sure mark your calendars and swing by the KEB booth. We’ll see you there!
